Observing the Observers
The U.N. Observers look at me and want to discuss tattoos.
Him: Who's that?
Me: That is a tattoo of Ze'ev Jabotinsky.
Him: Who's that?
Me: You don't know who Ze'ev Jabotinsky is?
Him: No
Me: How about Yitzhak Rabin?
Him: I have heard of him
Me: You serious?
Him: Yes, why? I just got here 2 weeks ago. I can't know everything.
Me: Keep observing.
How dare you police an area where you don't even know its people, history, or the narrative and ideals that built the place. Those who can, do. Those who can't - get fat UN contracts.
